What is a  TM  Retreat?

Deep Experience and Deep Rejuvenating Rest:

You will enjoy the extended practice of your TM program with an extra session of TM morning and afternoon, and a group meditation before lunch. You'll receive instruction in yoga asanas and pranayama which will balance the extended meditation routine in a program designed by Maharishi to accelerate your growth of experience. This will provide greater familiarity with the inner creative silence of Pure Consciousness, and deep, rejuvenating rest for the body, resulting in a profound release of stress which effortlessly provides the basis for greater clarity, more energy, love, and happiness when returning home.

Who is it for?

All TM meditators are welcome. Anyone who wants to accelerate the benefits of their TM practice, to feel clearer, more blissful, more energetic, and to gain a better understanding of the path to gaining their full potential. There will be discussions of experiences, with lots of time for Q&A, talks by Maharishi and others on effortless TM practice, and the growth to higher states of consciousness.

Knowledge and Experience

Beautiful talks of Maharishi: Maharishi video talks from 1969 to the most recent on everything from the correct start of meditation to profound understandings of Higher States of Consciousness - with plenty of time devoted to clarification, comments, analysis, and answering all your questions. We will also lead discussions of your experiences. You will feel deeply comfortable and secure about your TM experience.

The unique experience of deep silence through an extended TM practice routine and knowledge over the entire weekend results in a dramatic reduction of accumulated stress and tension. Participants in TM retreats report that even one such weekend can boost energy, clarity, and happiness for months afterward. You'll also have the chance to meet like-minded TM practitioners from all over the Northeast and the country. Many people form lasting friendships, stay in touch, and plan to return to retreats together in the future.

What meditators say about our TM retreats

"I just can't find the words to adequately express what this retreat did for me. My meditation practice seems broader and deeper. It is as though I am more comfortable on a deeper level, more at peace with a quiet joy." - M.B.

" I have been completely transformed. I had been experiencing a lot of stress and deep anxiety. I now feel rejuvenated, calm, peaceful, and grounded. In addition, I was also deeply moved by the profound knowledge. I experienced deep rest, rejuvenation, and bliss and it continues with me."  - E.K.

This Hilton has been one of our most popular facilities

Meals: Lunches will again be catered by Krishna (from Haveli India restaurant) who has delighted our participants on past retreats for the last several years. Krishna was trained in his youth as a Maharishi Vedic Pundit with Maharishi in India. Dinners will be by the very capable hotel chef who in the past has done a nice job at this facility. This has been a popular location we have enjoyed many times. Everyone loves the food and comfortable accommodations. The Hilton Garden Inn in Glastonbury is a generally quiet, small hotel, set well back from the street, in a business park and has been suitable for our needs. We have had about sixteen retreats here over the past 10 years. Some of our largest and best turnouts have been here.

Schedule, Arrival, and Departure: All arrivals are on Friday, December 5. Retreat registration opens at 3 PM. We suggest, if possible, you arrive by 5 PM so you can settle into your room, do your evening meditation, and come to dinner at 7 PM. The evening orientation meeting begins at 8:15 p.m. You'll need to arrive by then so that you receive your instructions for the course program you'll be doing in your room upon arising. Departure is after lunch on your last day. The full days of the retreat are full and self-sufficient; we ask that you leave any work, novels, etc. at home.

Retreat Fees

Retreat fees are per person and include the full course program, room, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is available à la carte from the Hotel breakfast buffet for those who wish. This arrangement helps keep your course fee as low as possible.

Note: Shared rooms are for couples, family, or friends coming together. We do not match applicants with roommates. For the greatest comfort and deepest experience, single rooms are always best. (Much of the extended meditation routine will be done in your room, and we want you to get a good nights sleep)
